Carter woke up around 9pm last night. Stacy and I came down to see him this morning, and he opened his eyes for us. As I write, Stacy is getting to feed him for the first time. Without getting too graphic, he grabbed right on.

Hoping to talk to the surgeon soon to hear the plan for tomorrow.

When our son was born needing surgery at CHOP, someone told us before he was even born to just let go and let God control things. My friend said "everything is already planned, the day he will be born, the doctor, the day of surgery, the time, everything. You will worry of course, but the story has already been written." That gave us such peace. Lynne and Gus Gall from TJU

Congratulations on your sweet little one! I know what you all are feeling and going thru. My daughter was born with bladder exstrophy (bladder outside of her abdominal wall). She went thru surgery as a newborn and has since then had 2 major surgeries. I will be thinking and praying for all of you in the upcoming days.
God bless, Tia (friend from PT school)

Thanks for sharing! All of you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Little boys are so precious! His pictures are hanging up on the bulletin board at the VNA and many of your colleagues send along well wishes. Glad to hear that you all are doing well.
Blessings,
Beth Gardner
